Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important.

Looking at this quote...this is something that is very important. The children are so used to the technology ( Ipods, laptops, gameboys, PSP's) When technology is used effectively, the engagement level is outstanding in the educational setting.

I think this is so important. Even looking at our MAPS scores, we have seen students perform above expectations. I think the reason being because it is an assessment on the computer. It held students' attention longer than a paper pencil test would have and made a difference for some students.

Ok, obviously I don't know how to use this yet. I (Leah) am the one who just posted, but it says "google" instead of my name.

I totally agree and feel that if I used technology in my room more, my students would be really into it. If I could just get over my anxiety over the whole technology thing I think it would be really great. Any suggestions for starters???
